We take your privacy and the protection of your information very seriously. We will NEVER knowingly sell, rent or otherwise distribute personally identifiable information collected through the LikeMynds Service to third parties without your express permission except under the following situations:

• As required by law e.g. in response to subpoenas or court order
• If your actions are contrary to the Terms and Conditions of Service of this site
• If LikeMynds acquires, or is acquired by or merged with, another company. Under this situation new terms and conditions of service may apply and you will be informed of any changes in advance

Information We Collect

For operational reasons we collect and store, through forms you fill in on the site, the following information:

• Your preferred name
• Your email address
• Your gender
• Your date of birth (to the nearest month)
• Other details about yourself that form your profile and allow us to match you to others

Please note that any phone number placed on the Small Ads Service will be visable to other users. Small Ad phone numbers are only stored while the Ad exists and the validity of the number is your responsibility.

For security and diagnostic reasons we may also collect:

• The IP address of the machine (or gateway) that you log in from
• Other information related to your visit to the site including the pages requested and browser and computer settings (e.g. browser type and screen resolution)

It is important to us that we do not collect more information than is absolutely necessary. For example, we do not collect your full address, just your postcode for location matching, and we do not collect your full date of birth, just the month and year for age matching.

At any time you may contact us and request that we delete any or all of your profiles, or terminate your entire account. Please use the 'contact us' link when signed in so we can verify your identity - otherwise we shall send an email to the address we hold for you in order to verify your identity before taking any action. Don't forget you can always simply hide your profile so it won't appear in search results when others are looking for matches.

While we take great care to ensure the security of your information and we will not intentionally pass it on, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or distribution of that information.

Cookies

As part of the operation of this site, we may store one or more 'cookies' on your machine. A cookie is a small piece of information that is sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your hard drive. As a security measure, it is only accessible by the website that created it (assuming no browser bugs or other security problems relating to your machine). You may set your browser preferences such that cookies are not stored but this may adversely affect the operation of the site.
